Latin Small Letter V with Hook · U+028B
ʋ is the small letter v with a hook, encoded as U+028B in the IPA Extensions block. In the International Phonetic Alphabet it stands for the voiced labiodental approximant, a sound close to an English v but made without the upper teeth touching the lower lip.
