Latin Small Letter F with Dot Above · U+1E1F

ḟ is the small letter f with a dot above it, encoded as U+1E1F in the Latin Extended Additional block. In older Irish spelling the dot marks lenition (séimhiú), a softening of the consonant, and a lenited f is silent; modern Irish writes it as fh instead. Its capital counterpart is Ḟ.
