Ņ is the capital letter N with a cedilla, the small hook attached below it, encoded as U+0145 in the Latin Extended-A block. It is the uppercase form of the Latvian letter ņ, which represents a palatalized n sound. Its lowercase counterpart is ņ. Ņ is not printed on most English keyboards, but every device hides a shortcut for it. Pick your platform:
Windows
- In Microsoft Word, type the hexadecimal code point — 0145 for Ņ.
- Press Alt+X: the code converts into the character in place.
