n apostrophe
Latin Small Letter N Preceded by Apostrophe · U+0149
ʼn is the small letter n preceded by an apostrophe, encoded as U+0149 in the Latin Extended-A block. It comes from Afrikaans, where it represents the indefinite article 'n, a contraction of een. Unicode now treats it as a legacy character and recommends writing the apostrophe and n as separate characters. Click the tile to copy ʼn, then paste it anywhere with Ctrl+V (Windows), Cmd+V (Mac) or a long-press → Paste on a phone.
