Latin Small Letter Open O · U+0254

ɔ, called open o, is a turned letter of its own rather than an accented o. It is the International Phonetic Alphabet symbol for the open-mid back rounded vowel, and it also serves as a regular letter in the alphabets of several West African languages, including Akan, Ewe and Bambara. Its capital form is Ɔ (U+0186). Click the tile to copy ɔ, then paste it anywhere with Ctrl+V (Windows), Cmd+V (Mac) or a long-press → Paste on a phone.

iPhone & Android

  1. Long-press pop-ups on iPhone, iPad and Android don't cover ɔ.
  2. Fastest route on a phone: tap the big ɔ tile above to copy it, then long-press the text field and choose Paste.

Tip: Copying from this page works on every phone — no keyboard settings needed.

Copy-paste is a typing method too — every accented form of O copies in one click on the O with accent page, alongside the full typing guides.
