ò is the lowercase o with a grave accent. In Italian it marks a stressed o at the end of a word, as in però and farò. In Vietnamese it carries the huyền (falling) tone on o, and in Hanyu Pinyin it marks the Mandarin fourth tone. Its capital form is Ò (U+00D2). How to type ò
ò is not printed on most English keyboards, but every device hides a shortcut for it. Pick your platform:
Windows
- Turn on Num Lock so the numeric keypad produces digits.
- Hold Alt, type 0242 on the numeric keypad, then release Alt — ò appears at the cursor.

Mac
- Press the Option combination for the accent — a highlighted accent mark appears, waiting.
- Type o; the two combine into ò.

- On an iPhone or iPad, press and hold the o key on the on-screen keyboard.
- A pop-up row of accented versions appears — slide your finger to ò and release.
