Ŷ is the capital Y with a circumflex, the pointed “hat” accent. It belongs to the Welsh alphabet, where the circumflex marks a long vowel, so Ŷ is a distinct letter rather than plain Y with decoration. Its lowercase form is ŷ (U+0177).
