Ę is the capital E with an ogonek, the little hook beneath the letter. It is part of the Polish alphabet, where ę stands for a nasal e, and Lithuanian uses the letter as well. Ę is not printed on most English keyboards, but every device hides a shortcut for it. Pick your platform:
Windows
- In Microsoft Word, type the hexadecimal code point — 0118 for Ę.
- Press Alt+X: the code converts into the character in place.
