Į is the capital i with an ogonek, the little hook curled beneath it. It is a letter of the Lithuanian alphabet, where the hook marks a long vowel with a nasal history. Lithuanian alphabetizes it separately from plain I. Its lowercase form is į (U+012F), and its code point is U+012E. Į is not printed on most English keyboards, but every device hides a shortcut for it. Pick your platform:
Windows
- In Microsoft Word, type the hexadecimal code point — 012E for Į.
- Press Alt+X: the code converts into the character in place.

Mac
